ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s Community Service Organization and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will host a 5K walk/run at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 7. Registration will be at 7:15 a.m. in the Fine Arts circle drive at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ. All proceeds will be donated to Camp Hope.

The course begins and ends at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ. There will be two groups: 16 and over and 15 and under. There will be awards for the top three finishers in each group and they will be presented immediately following the race.

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ will present a student recital of instrumental and vocal performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel, located in the Fine Arts Building, F-157.Ìý The recital is free.

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ art students will line the walls of the Shafer Art Gallery with their work during the “ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Student Art Exhibit†juried art show from 6-8 p.m. April 1. The show will run through April 23.

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ has stepped up its game in terms of safety and preparedness in recent months. New emergency notification apps and other enhancements have been paired with a recent series of trainings for employees on the college’s Run Hide Fight response to active shooters.

The public is invited to observe a Vocal Masterclass forum from 3-5:30 p.m. (session one) and from 6:15-8:30 p.m. (session 2) on April 1 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ.Ìý The forum is open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more about vocal technique and performing is encouraged to attend one or both of the sessions.Ìý

A participant from the 2012 clay shoot takes aim down range.Ìý The shoot will now feature two (instead of one) target shooters at each of the 10 stations and there will also be two-person flurries, which will give shooters an opportunity to practice or compete amongst themselves for bragging rights.ÌýÌý
