ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s accelerated Carpentry Certificate Program is set to enroll students with classes starting in the spring. The program can be completed in one semester. It also features block-scheduling, which allows students to continue to work and make money while they go through the program.

As of October 12 our area is again essentially unchanged but it pays to remember that any rains Tuesday and onward aren’t in this report so hopefully conditions will improve a bit.ÌýWheat planted is coming up and looking good.Ìý

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 in the Technical Building in room T-186, the Case New Holland Training area. Donors will receive t-shirts and $5 e-cards. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks will be required.

As of September 30, our area is again essentially unchanged.Ìý Moderate to severe drought is continuing to creep further into the northwest corner of the state and along the border with Oklahoma.Ìý These recent rains aren’t reflected in this report.Ìý

The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Theatre Department students in collaboration with the Great Bend Community Theatre will hold open auditions for all ages for their holiday play “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,†from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 11-13 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. Those interested can go to auditions.bartontheatre.com to sign up. All roles and technical positions will be cast. The show will run December 10 – 12.
