The drought monitor report as of Tuesday, September 20, indicates an ever-increasing expansion of extreme over most of ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ County.Ìý Currently the outlook is past grim for fall wheat planting in much of the state and the recent rains helped a little but most areas don’t have any subsoil moisture.
A wide range of local artists’ work will be on display at the Shafer Gallery as part of the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances exhibit Sept. 30 through Nov. 3.

Veronica Lara took her citizenship classes through ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s Center for Adult Education 11 years ago and through that process, she learned that they also provide courses for adults wanting to continue their education.
