ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ is once again officially recognized as a top “military friendly†school for 2015, as designated by Military Advanced Education, a publication highlighting education opportunities at installations across the country and beyond. ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ is featured as a Top School in the 2015 edition of the MAE Guide to Colleges and Universities.

Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be a daunting task, but ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s Financial Aid Department will offer students and parents free assistance in making sure the application is filled out correctly.Ìý ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ is participating in a national initiative “College Goal Sunday,†from 2-4 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Learning Resource Center on the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ County campus.

The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Performing Arts Department will host “Scholarship Day†auditions on Thursday, Feb. 12.Ìý Current or prospective students may contact the Music Department to set up a time to audition for music or theatre scholarships or performance awards.Ìý Awards are available for performing arts majors and non-performing arts majors alike.

The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Planetarium will feature movies utilizing the full-dome projection system throughout the spring semester.Ìý The Planetarium is located in the Science Building. Enter through the sliding doors on the north side.Ìý Admission is free.

Each movie will be followed by a live presentation by ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s Planetarium Director Dr. Tim Folkerts. The presentations will feature a tour of the night sky, hands-on activities or actual outdoor stargazing.ÌýÌý

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ will host “Kansas History Snapshot: E. Haldeman-Julius: Controversial Publisher and Free-Thinker,†a presentation by Dean of Library Services and Curator of Special Collections at Pittsburg State University Randy Roberts, at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 in the Library.Ìý Catered refreshments will be served.

This presentation is a chance for attendees to learn about the history of the Cohen Center’s collection of “Little Blue Books.â€
