The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Library will once again team up with the English department and ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s literary annual “Prairie Ink†staff to host a “Writing Workshop†from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 23 in the Cavanaugh Room in the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Library.
Due to the popularity of the first installments of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Dance Theatre’s fundraiser, Dancing with the Cougars,†an additional evening has been added from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in the majestic Shafer Gallery.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to weld, now is your chance thanks to ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s spring stick welding class, which will be offered from 6-9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday nights from March 6 through May 11 in the welding lab in the Technical Building.
As ºìÐÓÊÓƵ welcomed the start of 2023, it also welcomed a significant milestone in its efforts to help students save additional dollars. In total, students who have enrolled in classes with no-cost or low-cost course materials have saved over $500,000. These courses are known in higher education as Open Educational Resources (OER).
ºìÐÓÊÓƵ has named 256 students to the President’s List for the fall 2022 semester. To qualify for this honor students must have been enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours and maintained a grade point average of 4.0 on a 4.0 or "A" letter scale.

Children aged three to twelve years who love fairytales will enjoy this camp full of creative magic led by the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Dance Theatre students from 2-5 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Fine Arts Building.
ºìÐÓÊÓƵ has offered dual credit courses at Larned High School since the early 2000s. Because of this partnership, some of LHS’s teachers are also ºìÐÓÊÓƵ adjunct faculty. Students can enroll in general education courses such as college-level math and English to help get a head start on their college coursework. Now carpentry has joined the lineup.Ìý
The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Theatre Troupe “The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Bards†will hold auditions for its late spring production “Under Milkwood†Feb. 21 and 22 from 5-7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
