“Dancing with the Cougars†tango and two-step workshop planned for fun Friday evening at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Dance Theatre will host “Dancing with the Cougars,†a special tango dance workshop that features an unlikely pair of styles at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 in Studio 34, with all proceeds supporting the group’s trip to perform in New York City in January.
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ has announced the hiring of Julie Bugner Smith as the Alumni and Events Coordinator, a newly created position within the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Foundation.
University of Utah launches Prison Education Action Research Lab with ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ as a research partner
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ has been selected as a key research partner in the new Prison Education Action Research Lab (PEARL), which is being launched this year by the University of Utah with an $8 million award from Ascendium Education Group.
The Central Kansas Community Choir (CKCC), in conjunction with ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s Music Department, will host a festive evening of sacred and secular choral music to welcome the holiday season at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at the First United Methodist Church Great Bend at 2123 Forest Ave., in Great Bend.
Students taking lessons through ºìÐÓÊÓÆµâ€™s Community Music School will host a recital at 1 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Dorothy Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building.
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ at Fort Riley student 21-year-old Chris Boothe grew up hearing his father’s stories about analyzing fingerprints and other evidence, so it is no surprise he has chosen to pursue a career in the same field to help law enforcement as part of a crime scene investigation team.
The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Performing Arts Department invites the community to enjoy nostalgic, holiday-themed entertainment, as well as the induction of the second class into the Fine and Performing Arts Hall of Fame, at its annual holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ will be closed for Thanksgiving break Nov. 26 through Nov. 28. The college will resume its regular schedule on Dec. 1.
ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Construction Technology Program Coordinator Matt Mazouch attended the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Kansas and Build Up Kansas Conference in early November, where he was recognized as the 2025 Post-Secondary Instructor of the Year in the Western Region, and ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ was named the Post-Secondary School of the Year for the Western Region.
