The ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Theatre Department will present 'Time Stands Still', a powerful drama by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies, October 16-19 in the Fine Arts Auditorium.

Performances are Oct. 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Oct. 19. Tickets are $10 for general admission and will be sold at the door, and the show is rated PG-13 for adult language and conversations.

ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Communications Instructor and Director of the play Denise Williams said the play follows Sarah, a photojournalist returning to New York after being injured covering the war in Iraq, and her boyfriend James, a foreign correspondent.

β€œThe show is a realistic portrayal of life, relationships, and the devastating effects of separation on a couple who have been through a series of catastrophic events,” she said.Μύ β€œIt is meant to make audience members think about how love and war coexist in the context of the lives of these characters. When looking at this year’s season, knowing that we would be doing a comedy for the musical, we were searching for a serious drama that would push students to grow and excel in their craft as actors and technicians. After reading seven or eight scripts, I found this story particularly engaging. It challenges student actors to see the world through the eyes of people with vastly different experiences."

This spring, ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Theatre invites audiences back March 5-8 for β€œThe SpongeBob Musical,” a fun undersea adventure with SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and the rest of Bikini Bottom as they try to save their town from a volcano. Auditions for the musical are Nov. 11 and 19 from 6-9 p.m. in the Fine Arts Auditorium. For more information, visit .
