The Beta Phi Eta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) from ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ at Fort Leavenworth will be holding a β€œFood and Needs” drive from May 11-21 in support of the Leavenworth Mission Community Store and Food Pantry.

Due to a lack of government subsidies, the pantry has struggled to keep donations on the shelves to help feed families in need. While they are also a store, the food bank provides food to many families free of charge. The PTK group from ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ plans to have multiple drives throughout the year in hopes of helping the pantry to continue to offer its services.Μύ

There will be a drop box located in the ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ office at Fort Leavenworth and at the Post Exchange.ΜύΜύΜύ
The following items are being collected: non-expired, non-perishable food items that have not been opened; hygiene items such as deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste; baby items such as diapers, wipes and non-expired formula. These are all high-need items for Leavenworth residents.

PTK is the international honor society for two-year colleges and symbolizes excellence in higher education.Μύ Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are invited to join PTK.Μύ The PTK group at ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ sponsors local events and volunteers at others’ events.ΜύΜύ
