ΊμΠΣΚΣơ’s literary annual β€œPrairie Ink” accepting submissions

ΊμΠΣΚΣơ’s annual literary publication, β€œPrairie Ink”, has begun accepting entries for its 17th edition.Μύ

The editors are looking for the following types of original work to be considered for publication: fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, drama, graphic narrative, biography, photography, sketch, painting, digital art, and pictures of 3D art. Submissions will be accepted through Nov. 30, with submissions after that considered for the following edition.

ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ students, alumni, and all residents of the seven counties in ΊμΠΣΚΣơ’s service region: ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅, Pawnee, Rush, Russell, Rice, Stafford, and Ellsworth counties, as well as ΊμΠΣΚΣơ’s Fort Riley, Fort Leavenworth, and Grandview Plaza campuses, are encouraged to submit entries.

Prairie Ink also sponsors multiple writing workshops throughout the year. They are on the following dates: Oct. 16, Nov. 20, Jan. 22, Feb. 19, March 26, and April 23 (issue 17 release party). These workshops include topics such as plot structure, character design, flash fiction, narrative style, elements of fiction, poetry, and how to start a story.

ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ also offers writing classes each semester. The spring semester will feature courses in Copy Editing, Introduction to Literature, and World Literature.
