"Dancing with the Cougars" returns this year with another dance workshop for the community featuring a tango dance class at 6:30 p.m. March 28 in Studio 34, and all proceeds go to support ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Dance Theatre's trip to Chicago in May.

ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Dance Instructor Danika Bielek will teach the class, and she has danced the Tango for over a decade. The class will cover the fundamentals of the Tango, including the basic steps, musicality, body alignment, and connecting with your dance partner.

Bielek said she is excited to share this class with the community.

β€œThe Tango is such a distinctive style of dance with a rich cultural background and many positive benefits,” she said. β€œIt’s a full-body, gentle workout that increases body awareness while enhancing balance and memory skills. Plus, it is a great way to connect with a friend or someone you love.”

To Register, visit or contact Bielek at bielekd@bartonccc.edu or (620) 792-9253. Admission is $10 per person or $15 if attendees bring a dance partner.
