"Dancing with the Cougars" returns this year with another dance workshop featuring Latin dance styles at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 in Studio 34, and all proceeds go to support ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Dance Theatre's trip to dance in New York City in January.
This one-time class will include the basics for popular dances such as salsa, merengue, mambo, and cha-cha.Μύ ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Dance Instructor Danika Bielek will teach the class with the students from ΊμΠΣΚΣΖ΅ Dance Theatre.
βLatin dances are expressive, rhythmic, and so much fun,β she said. βThey can be danced with or without a partner. Itβs a type of dancing where the whole body is dancing and connecting to the music. Usually, people came out of Latin dance class smiling and feeling invigorated.β
