There are different pathways to become a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) and the best one depends on individual needs. Below are the most popular options.

Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) Approved Program

This is the most popular pathway which involves graduating from an Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) approved foodservice manager training program.

These programs include bothÌýclassroom education and field experience. ºìÐÓÊÓƵ'sÌýprogram can be completed online and graduates getÌýfield experience where they live. To learn more about this option visit , or contact me atÌýcowlese@bartonccc.edu or (620) 786-7562.

Take the CDM exam right now! (Previous Degree/Experience required.)

There are two factors that may qualify you to take the CDM exam without pursuing further education:

1. If you already hold a college degree in foodservice management or other closely related field, you may already be eligible to take the CDM exam.

2. If you already hold an alternate degree and have a minimum of five years of institutional foodservice management experience, you may already be eligible to take the CDM exam.

In both cases, you must submit a transcript that includes one course in nutrition and two courses in foodservice management.

If you need one or all three of these courses, or if you are looking to take courses to prepare yourself for the CDM test, I would encourage you to considerÌýthe quality curriculum at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ!
